Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the number of components by constituting the suspension device in such a way that a rotary damper itself is oscillatably and pivotally supported by the frame of a vehicle body so as to constitute a part of a link, so that it is arranged in the wide space behind the engine part for increasing the turning angle of an oscillating fork. CONSTITUTION: The front end part of an oscillating arm 7 is pivotally supported by the rear lower part of a frame 1, and rear wheels 8 are rotatably supported by the rear end of the oscillating arm 7. Further, an upwardly directed bracket 9 is provided to the front part of the oscillating arm 7, while a casing 12 of a rotary damper 11 is supported so as to be turned forward and rearward through a shaft 10 to the rear part of a subframe 1a situated above the oscillating arm 7, so that the turning shaft of this rotary damper 11 and the bracket 9 are connected by a lever 13. By such a constitution, the suspension can be arranged inside a wide space behind the rear of the engine part, and even the casing 12 itself can be oscillated around the pivotal shaft 10 for increasing the turning angle of the oscillating fork. Further, the casing 12 itself can be utilized as a part of the link, so that the number of parts can be reduced, and the space can be effectively utilized.
