Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve riding quality and provide a compact ball joint in a wheel connected to a suspension arm through the ball joint by inter-connecting the ball joint and suspension arm through an elastic member. CONSTITUTION:Ball joints 3, 5 are disposed respectively on both upper and lower ends of a knuckle arm 1 supporting a wheel. For example, each one end of a pair of links 7a, 7b is secured fixedly to a housing 3b of the upper side ball joint 3. Also, the other ends of respective links 7a, 7b are secured fixedly to the outer ends of respective upper arms 13, 15 through rubber bushings 9, 11. Further, the inner ends of respective upper arms 13, 15 are swingably connected to the vehicle body side member 17 through respective connections 19, 21. On the other hand, the underside ball joint 5 section is also similarly constituted. Thus, the respective rubber bushings 9, 11 are elastically deformed to follow up the movement of other members.
