Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the opening/closing timing continuously, by setting a servo valve between oil pressure feeding routes toward an oil pressure chamber, which presses a piston set coaxially with a rotary shaft and a time regulating ring, and a relief route of said oil pressure chamber. CONSTITUTION:A piston 8 is set coaxially with a rotary shaft 6 and a time regulating ring 4, through helical gears 19-22. Oil pressure feeding routes 34, 36, 38 and an oil pressure relief route 47 are connected to an oil pressure chamber 18 which presses the piston 8. A servo valve 9 formed of a sleeve 29 which is connected and sequentially moved with the piston 8, and a spool 30 which is slidably fitted in the sleeve 29, is set between the oil pressure feeding routes 34, 36, 38 and the oil pressure relief route 47. The piston 8 moves for the quantity of axial movement of the spool 30. In this way, the opening/closing timing can be controlled continuously.
