Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the title panel to use for a trim material of a railway vehicle, ships and aircraft by constituting the panel so that comparatively high requirement of flame resistance is satisfied, by making use of a matter containing a flame reterder as a sheet molding compound molded product. CONSTITUTION:Two separator films comprised of plastics such as polypropylene are prepared. A resin compound solution such as unsaturated polyester containing a flame retarder 4 is applied onto one sides of them. A fiber- reinforcing sheet 2 obtained by making a glass fiber strand into a matlike state is pressurized and deaerated by placing the sheet 2 between the two layers by facing them upon each other and the inside of the fiber-reinforcing sheet is impregnated with the resin compound. Then after heating and aging of the resin compound, the separator film is peeled off and an SMC molded product is manufactured. Dibromocresyl glycidyl ether, tetrabromobisphenol A, TBA- diethoxylate, HET acid, diallyl chlorendate can be used as the flame retarder which is caused to contain in SMC molding. An extent of 20-30wt.% which does not spoil strength of the SMC is suitable as content.
