Abstract

PURPOSE:To make appropriate use possible by stopping, at the time of abnormality of a device, a pulse signal outputted from a controller for controlling a combustion device and displaying the abnormality on a display tube of a system controller. CONSTITUTION:A system controller 2 in a vehicle room outputs a pulse signal when an operation instruction is inputted. A combustion controller 1, receiving the pulse signal, operates a combustion device 4 according to a specified procedure to heat engine coolant water to be sent with a pump 10 to a heater core 8. The combustion controller 1, while it outputs pulse signals to the system controller 2 as long as the combustion device 4 is operated normally, stops the output of the pulse signal if any abnormality occurs and the operation stops and displays the abnormality on a display tube of the system controller 2. Also in the case of abnormality in a signal transmission route, a similar display of the abnormality is performed. The abnormality can be visually confirmed within the vehicle room in this way and therefore it is possible to perform secure maintenance and to use the device properly.
