Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce a consumption power loss of an electric heater, by a method wherein an ON time of an ambient temperature control circuit is estimated from a change in the signal of an ambient temperature detector, and a suspension of a control of energizing for a heater is released before a given time has elasped after the ON time.
CONSTITUTION: When an ON signal is transmitted from an ambient temperature control circuit 24, which turns ON and OFF according to a signal from an ambient temperature detector, energizing of an electric heater is controlled according to a carburettor temperature by means of a carburettor temp. control circuit 28. In case (t1Wt2) i.e. OFF signal is transmitted from the ambient temperature control circuit 24, said electric heater is turned OFF, and a time t3 when an ON signal is outputted from the ambient temperature control circuit 24 is then estimated by the signal outputted from the ambient temperature detector. This releases a suspension of a control of energizing from said electric heater before a given time Δt has elapsed after the ON signal time t2. As a result, the transmission of an OFF signal from the ambient control circuit suspends a control of energizing for the electric heater, and this permits the reduction in loss due to natural radiation of heat.
