Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance heat resistance and lubricity, by incorporating a cured body of a silylisocyanate compound and a resin component in the backing layer of the thermal transfer recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A heat softenable layer is provided to one surface of a support and a backing layer is provided to the surface provided with no heat softenable layer of the support. The backing layer is constituted of a curred body of a silylisocyanate compound and a resin component and can be formed by preliminarily preparing the composition containing the silylisocyanate compound and the resing component containing the group reactive with said silylisocyanate compound and applying the same to the support.
