Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the accumulation of broken pieces due to discharge destruction on a printing head during a recording process and to increase the resistance power to scratch damage, by incorporating conductive particles and inorg. pigment in the resin coating layer (protective layer) provided to the surface of a discharge recording material. CONSTITUTION:A matte resin coating layer (intermediate layer), a discharge destructive conductive layer and a resin coating layer (protective layer) are formed to a base material. A conductive particle such as a metal powder, graphite or carbon and inorg. pigment are contained in the protective layer. This recording material is formed by providing a mat layer wherein a matte agent such as silica is contained in a polymer binder provided on the base material and forming a conductive membrane composed of aluminum thereon and further forming the protective layer containing a granular substance such as Ag, Cu, Ni, graphite, carbon, silica or calcium carbonate thereon. The mat layer is formed by incorporating the matte agent being the granular substance in the polymer binder and the matte surface (unevenness) formed by this method removes the broken pieces due to discharge destruction accumulated on a printing head. As mentioned above, by incorporating the granular substance in the protective layer, high contrast is given to a direct negative image of discharge recording and scratch damage due to the printing head can be reduced.
