Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of the interference fringe by a method wherein a color mosaic filter is formed directly on a solid-state image sensing element chip. CONSTITUTION:A color mosaic filter 3 is formed directly on a CCD chip 2 through the vacuum evaporation or the like. The space between the color mosaic filter 3 and the CCD chip 2 is zero, the light rays which enter the color mosaic filter 3 go out of the color mosaic filter 3 without being reflected again after they are reflected by the faces of a light shielding section and an optical detecting section 2b, so that the optical interference does not occur. And, in the part where color filters are adjacent to each other, when a blue (B) and a green (G) light which pass through a cyanogen filter are reflected by the light shielding section 2a, a G light pass through but a B light is reflected at the interface between the cyanogen filter and a yellow filter and then both light rays go out of the filters as a result, so that the flaring light rays due to multi-reflection are prevented. By these processes, a clear image can be obtained which is excellent in color reproductivity, resolution, and contrast.
