Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the effect of removing impurities in regeneration of a gold plating liquid by adding heterocyclic compds. of 5-membered rings contg. an S atom and N atom into the gold plating liquid contg. the impurities and adding oxine thereto to settle the impurities.
CONSTITUTION: The heterocyclic compds. of the 5-membered rings contg. the S atom and N atom such as thiazole, isothiazole and thidiazole or the derivatives thereof (e.g.: 2-amino-5- mercapto-1,3,4-thiazole) are added into the gold plating liquid in which the impurities of heavy metals such as Fe, Ni and Cu are contained. Further, the oxine (8-oxinoline) is added thereto to settle the impurities in the gold plating liquid. The precipitate is filtered away. The rate of settling and removing the impurity metals by the oxine is improved by the co-existence of the heterocyclic compds. of the 5-membered rings or the derivatives thereof and the oxine at this time. The gold plating liquid is thereby regenerated without exerting an adverse influence to the gold plating liquid itself.
