Abstract
PURPOSE: The volatilization of chromium is inhibited by applying the roasting treatment of chromite and volalizing zinc, copper and lead are recovered as hydroxides or sulfides from the sludge containing large amounts of toxic heavy metals (Cr, Zn, Cu and Pb) which is produced in the treatment of metal plating waste water.
