Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a capacitor at every optical switch by using a capacitor which prescribes the variation speed of the control signal of optical switches by the optical switches on a time-division basis. CONSTITUTION:Control voltages V1, Va, Vb, Vc, and Vh are applied to the optical switches through respective resistances 107-109 by switching analog switches 104-106. Further, the capacitor 111 is connected to the optical switches 101-103 through an analog switch 110 in parallel. Then one of the voltages V1, Va, Vb, Vc, and Vh is applied to the capacitor 111 by switching the analog switch 110. Therefore, when the capacitor 111 is connected to the optical switches 101-103, integration circuits are composed of the resistances 107-109 respectively. Consequently, one capacitor 111 can be used in common by the three integration circuits and the number of capacitors is reduced.
