Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate combustion adjustment and reduce cost by picking up the image of a flame of a furnace by a color television camera, decomposing a transmitted video signal into color signals of red, green and blue, and obtaining temperatures in each section from two color signals out of three to display the same. CONSTITUTION:An image taken by a color television camera 4 is sent to a decoder 5 and separated into three color image 6, and then recorded in a flame memory 7. Out of three color components (red(R), green(G) and blue(B)), a temperature pattern calculated in a primary operator (R/B) 8 is sent to a temperature distribution display unit 11, and simultaneously to a secondary operating circuit 12, where the length, width and divergent angle are computed. On the other hand, a time stability and a smoke density are computed by primary operating circuits 9 and 10. The results of the computation are sent to an estimation circuit 13, and indicated in a display unit 14 in a form of comparing the indexes of respective burners with each other. Thus, since the index of the flame characteristics is expressed quantitatively, the combustion adjustment of the burner can be carried out easily.
