Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a high-strength cold rolled steel sheet for ultra-deep drawing by subjecting a low-carbon steel slab contg. specifically small ratios of Ti, Nb, B, etc., to rough rolling, then to hot rolling at a specific temp., followed by coiling, and recrystallization annealing and subjecting the steel sheet further to cold rolling and recrystallization annealing. CONSTITUTION:The steel slab contg., by weight, <0.02% C, <1.5% Si, <1.5% Mn, <0.15% P, and <0.1% Al, and 1 or >=2 kinds among <0.003% B, <0.15% Ti, and <0.2% Nb in such a manner that the contents of Ti and Nb satisfy the formula I is first roughly rolled at 900-1,250 deg.C and is worked to a sheet material. The carbonitride of Ti and Nb is precipitated by this rough rolling, by which the total content of the solid soln. carbon and solid soln. nitrogen in the steel is decreased to a trace quantity of <=20ppm. The steel sheet is then subjected to rolling at <=60% rolling reduction in ferrite region at 800-500 deg.C temp., following which the sheet is coiled and recrystallization-annealed. The steel sheet is in succession subjected to ordinary cold rolling at <=50% draft then to recrystallization annealing. The cold rolled steel sheet which is free from longitudinal cracks after deep drawing by the incorporation of B and has the excellent deep drawability and strength is produced.
