Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an electrically conductive paste capable of forming a conductive layer having sufficiently high adhesive strength to ceramic, at a low cost, by mixing zinc powder, glass powder, an additional substance such as Pb (compound) and a vehicle at specific weight ratios. CONSTITUTION:The objective conductive paste is produced by mixing (A) 100pts. wt. of zinc powder with (B) 0.01-10pts.wt. of glass powder, (C) 0.01-5pts.wt. of one or more additional substances selected from Pb (compound), Bi (compound), Pr (compound), Cu (compound) and Cd (compound) (e.g. Pb3O4 or CuO) and (D) a proper amount of vehicle (e.g. alpha-terpineol solution of ethylcellulose) necessary to form a paste. An electrically conductive layer 6 having excellent adhesive strength, etc., can be formed at a low cost by applying the conductive paste to a ceramic substrate 1 and baking the coating layer. Accordingly, the paste can be suitably used in the production of an electrode for SrTiO3 ceramic semiconductive capacitor, etc.
