Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve a casting productivity by forming a thin plate or foil with its insertion to the boundary face of the dissimilar material of a lost form pattern and pouring and solidifying the dissimilar material from a separate gate. CONSTITUTION:In case of casting the lost form pattern having the casting part consisting of a dissimilar material, the thin sheet of a high m.p. material or similar material, or a foil 5 is arranged and inserted into the boundary of the dissimilar material parts 1, 2 of a form pattern A. The dissimilar material is then poured and fed respectively from the gates 3, 4 of separate material to disappear the form pattern A and the casting having a dissimilar material part is formed. In this case, the inserted thin sheet 5 is melted after filling up of a molten metal, hence the composite casting is formed by one forming. Consequently the productivity of the casting consisting of dissimilar materials is improved.
