Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable secure removal of accumulated material stocking to the internal wall surface of a cyclone for dust removal from high temperature exhaust gas by providing an impact particle supply device in the lower half of the cyclone and introducing impact particles into the cyclone. CONSTITUTION:In a cyclone 3 for removal of dust from exhaust gas released from a melting-reducing furnace, for instance, a supply port 20a for charging impact particles 29 is provided in the almost intermediate stage position of a conical part 3b. When the impact particles 29 are charged into the cyclone 3 through the supply port 20a, the impact particles 29 hit the inner wall surface of the cyclone 3, while gyrating, to knock of accumulated material sticking to the wall surface and to drop it into the hopper 8, so that a connection with the hopper 8 is not clogged with the adhering accumulated material. As dust contained in the gas generated in the melting and reducing furnace sticks to the lower part of the conical section 3b concentratedly, the supply port 20a for the impact particles 29 is arranged at a point lower front the middle stage of the conical section 3b to assure secure removal of the accumulated material.
