Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease compressed air consumption and to separate catalyst from dust smoothly, by connecting a variable vane for adjusting path breadth of dust- contg. particles to the lower end of the side wall of the lower hopper in order to draw off the dust-contg. particles through the lower hopper. CONSTITUTION:Dust-contg. catalyst 8 is accumulated on the catalyst-receiving plate 13 in a lower hopper 1 of a reactor. The catalyst-receiving plate 13 is attached with an air chamber 12 and a compressed air pipe 11 and is connected to a side plate 9. The catalyst is accumulated on the receiving plate 13 without dropping and hardly flows because of the relation between the angle of repose theta1 of the catalyst itself and the set angle theta2 of a variable vane 16 which is a variable type plate for preventing catalyst fall. Compressed air is sprayed through a compressed air-blowing pipe 11, so that the catalyst is blown away simultaneously with dust separation and the catalyst is drawn off through a hopper at the lower part of the reactor.
