Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a separated pulverized material to be discharged smoothly even where the angle of repose is small, by a method wherein a bottom plate of a hopper provided at the lower part of a dust collector having a bag filter is made of a gas-permeable material and is sloped downwardly to the side of a discharge port.
CONSTITUTION: Air containing the pulverulent material is sucked into a bag filter main body 1 through an air intake hole 7, the pulverulent material is separated from air by the bag filters 4 and clean air is solely discharged through an air sucking-out hole 6. The pulverulent material separated by the filters 4 falls toward the hopper 2. Although the bottom plate 8 of the hopper 2 is sloped at an angle of smaller than the angle of repose, the interior of the hopper 2 is kept at a negative pressure during when the clean air is sucked out through the hole 6, so that the outside air is sucked in through the gas-permeable bottom plate 8 to suspend the pulverulent material in the hopper. Accordingly, even through the sloping angle of the bottom plate 8 is small, the pulverized material is smoothly moved toward a discharge passage 9.
