The display can be maintained for a long period only by applying the voltage temporarily when the consumption of the battery is detected, by using the electrochromic display element as the display element of the display part 3. Therefore, the used-up state of the battery is continuously displayed without accelerating the power consumption of the battery, which is in the consumed state.
