Abstract

PURPOSE:To replace a battery without stopping a timepiece by using one of two batteries as a stand-by battery, and switching the batteries and displaying which battery is to be replaced once the exhaustion of one battery is detected. CONSTITUTION:A switching circuit B selects a battery E1 or E2 as the power source for a timer circuit A. If the selected battery is exhausted and its life is detected by a detecting circuit C, the switching circuit B selects the other battery as the power source for the timer circuit A and a display device D1 or D2 performs the life display of the battery E1 or E2.
