Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a highly reliable high density multineedle electrode by simple constitution, by providing electrodes made of a superconductive material needle at the leading end thereof and holding a substrate to the critical temp. of the superconductive material of the electrodes or less. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 4 made of a superconductive material are formed on the insulating films 3 formed on the heat generating resistor films 2 deposited and formed to an insulating substrate 1 at a constant pitch. The leading ends thereof form record ing needles at a constant pitch and the root parts thereof are formed as a common electrode 42. Further, the electrodes 4 are connected to a recording control circuit 24 and ON/OFF of the supply of a current to the heat generating resistor films 2 is controlled corresponding to a recording signal. When the superconductive material of the electrodes 4 is held to critical temp. Tc-several degrees or less becoming a superconductive state, the electrodes 4 become a continuity state of resistance O and, when a current is supplied to the heat generating resistors 2 by the order of the recording control circuit 24, the heat generating resistors 2 generate heat and the temps. of the electrodes rise and the temp. of the superconductive material becomes higher than the critical temp. Tc to become a normal conductive state. As mentioned above, by selectively controlling the electrodes 4 respectively, the electrostatic latent image corresponding to the recording signal can be obtained.
