Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve job efficiency by providing two lines of line memories with a readout picture written therein for each line, applying planer scanning of an original in returning a line scanner head to a start position of subscanning so as to read a picture thereby eliminating useless scanner head return time. CONSTITUTION:A read data outputted from a line sensor 1 is converted into a digital serial data by an A/D converter 2 and given to either one of memories A4, B5. Prior to the scanning to the succeeding line after an input to a memory A4 and an output from a memory B5 are finished, the memories are changed over by a main control section 7, an input to the memory B5 and an output from the memory A4 are applied and the changeover is executed by the main control section 7 in changing lines sequentially. The value of the memory address outputted from an address generating circuit 6 at the memory input/ output is incremented for both the input/output line memories at the normal subscanning, on the other hand, in case the subscanning is applied reversely, the input line memory address is incremented and the output line memory address is decremented by the output control.
