Abstract
PURPOSE:To conduct a crushing and mixing work in a short period and to lessen the change in viscosity when a paste-mixing work is performed, to reduce variation of both compositional ratio of the powder mixture of CdTe, Cd and Te in the paste and grain diameter, and to make it possible to improve conversion efficiency by using a CdTe powder mixture. CONSTITUTION:When the paste for a CdTe sintered film is going to be manufactured, the mixture of Cd powder and Te powder is formed in advance into the state of fine powder by adding water using a medium agitating mill consisting of the balls 13, the container 11 and the agitating rod made of ceramic, for example, which resists heat and abrasion. The mixture of CdTe, Cd and Te is formed, the mixture is dried up, a coking agent is added, and paste is formed. At this point, the ratio of the peak of the X-ray diffraction analysis of CdTe in the mixture of Cd powder, Te powder and water, and the peak of Te becomes 0.2-1.0. As a coking agent is added to the paste and they are mixed after the above-mentioned material has been pulverized until it has an average grain diameter of 1.0-5.0mum, the mixture of CdTe, Cd, Te and the like consisting of the prescribed composition can be obtained in a short period without being affected by the effect of the coking agent. Also, the fine particle having the prescribed viscosity distribution can be obtained.
