CONSTITUTION:A coil 4 is wound in parallel with a superconductive cable 2 on the whole or part of the cable, and a switch 5 and a power source 6 feeding the energy to the coil 4 are connected in series to the coil 4. The switch 5 is operated by a protective equipment 7 or a detector 8 detecting a large current when it is generated in the superconductive cable 2. When a large current is generated by the accident or overload or the like of the superconductive cable 2, an abnormality is detected by the protective equipment 7 or the detector 8, the switch 5 connected in series to the coil 4 is operated, and a current flows in the coil 4. The current can be suppressed by applying the magnetic field to the superconductive cable 2, thus the superconductive cable requiring no special device is obtained.
