Abstract

PURPOSE: To vary the resonance frequency of an antenna to a desired value by providing a conductor length adjusting mechanism which varies a resonance frequency band used by a liner antenna by adjusting the length of a conductor and a conductor length setting mechanism setting the adjustment quantity of the conductor length adjusting mechanism to a specific quantity automatically.
CONSTITUTION: When a manual switch is set to a desired channel, the interlocking switch 19 of the conductor length setting mechanism 8 is switched associatively and the memory 14 of the conductor length setting mechanism 8 is selected. Then respective stepping motors 11 for a radiator 1, a reflector 2, and a waveguide 3 are driven through a controller 12 for conductor length adjusting mechanisms 7 and 7' and the conductor length of each element is adjusted to conductor length corresponding to a resonance frequency band set in the memory 14 previously. Further, the interlocking switch 19 of the element-to-element distance setting mechanism 18 is switched associatively with the manual switch. Then the mutual interval between elements is adjusted to a set mutual interval corresponding to the resonance frequency band, previously setting in a memory 14.
