Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent discharge of a battery and to feed current to an electrical load, by connecting a first rectifier between an armature coil and the battery while a second rectifier between the armature coil and the electrical load. CONSTITUTION:A voltage regulator 3 operates to maintain the output voltage from a generator at a predetermined level, while a battery 4 is recharged through an output terminal 201 of a first rectifier 2 and an electrical load 5 is fed with power through an output terminal 901 of a second rectifier 5. When the capacity of the generator 1 is lower than the capacity of the electrical load 5, output voltage of the generator 1 does not increase to a predetermined level and a transistor 801 is opened. Voltage at the output terminal 201 of the first rectifier is boosted to the voltage level of the battery 4 and the battery 4 is recharged only when the voltage of the generator 1 exceeds the voltage of the battery 4. Voltage lower than that of the battery 4 is produced at the output terminal 901 of the second rectifier 9 so as to keep feeding power to the electrical load 5. Current does not flow from the battery 4 to the electrical load 5, thus preventing discharge of the battery 4.
