Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the battery charge characteristic by feeding a negative half- wave output not being fet to the battery charging of a charging generation coil to an A.C. load while the half-wave output is short-circuit controlled with an SCR according to the voltage. CONSTITUTION:A rectifier 7 is provided between a generation coil 1 for charging a battery 3 and a generation coil 2 for driving an A.C. load 4 and an SCR 6 is connected to the anode side thereof as controlled with a control circuit 10 responding to the generation output. A half-wave output is not being fed to the charging of the generation coil 1 fed to the load 4 while an excessive output is bypassed by shortcircuiting the SCR 6 with the control circuit 10 as the output to be fed to the load 4 increases. This prevents overvoltage of the load 4 while short circuiting the half- wave output of the generation coil 1, holding back the positive half-wave output to a small level through reaction of an armature when the load 4 is not used. Thus, an appropriate charging characteristic can be obtained.
