676,159. Electricity supply. COMPAGNIE INDUSTRIELLE DES PILES ELECTRIQUES CIPEL. May 24, 1950 [June 28, 1949], No. 13079/50. Class 38 (iv). Depending on two or more sources.-A direct current load U is supplied from rectifiers fed by the source S a primary battery P of cells having an alkaline electrolyte and a primary battery N of cells with an electrolyte containing sal ammoniac being connected as shown. Such parallel batteries may be as claimed in Specification 658,361. A rectifier T may be interposed in circuit with the main battery N to prevent it being charged from the source. The voltage at the terminal of the main rectifier should be less than that of the battery N but greater than that of the peak battery P. When the external supply is rectified A.C. a filter R.F. is preferably included in circuit.
