Abstract
PURPOSE:To effectively correct a screen distortion by a saturation characteristic easily generated at the time of operating in a low potential by supplying a current from a separate power source to the S character correcting capacitor of a horizontal deflecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a voltage impressed to a switching transistor Q is low, the on resistance of the transistor is increased, so that a saw tooth form wave current iL passing through a deflecting coil LY by a resistance component is not linearly but forms a curve saturated in the latter half as shown by dotted lines and a raster size is contracted at the right side of the screen. Then, a current iC enters the deflecting coil LY from the separate power source VC of a linearity correcting circuit 10 in the latter half part. Then, in the latter half of a horizontal scanning, it is superimposed on a current drawn from the S character correcting capacitor CS and the corrected current iC is supplied to the deflecting coil LY. Thereby, the saturation curve of the saw tooth form wave current iL can be cancelled and the screen distortion can be cancelled.
