Abstract

871,559. Valve sawtooth generating circuits- BUSH & RANK CINTEL Ltd. Feb. 29, 1960, No. 7007/60. Class 40(6) A timebase current generator is provided with a switch 15 to insert an impedance such as 13 in the output circuit to preserve linearity when operating at a higher frequency. The circuit shown is intended for operation at 405 or 625 lines per frame. Linearity is controlled by the short-circuited turns 7 coupled to the deflection coils 5. Capacitors 6, 14 provide correction for flat screen cathode-ray tubes. Amplitude variation due to change in frequency is minimized by resistor 10 decoupled by capacitor 12. Provision may be made for operating at a third frequency.
