Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the change in the lighted pattern and in the efficiency of the optical system due to a cause such as deterioration in the laser by comparing detected outputs of a luminous flux being the result of split by a luminous flux split means placed in an optical path between the laser and a recording medium and of a radiated luminous flux on the rear face of the laser.
