Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a hot jet stream utilizable as a high temperature heat source for fusion, heat treatment or the like by using the high temperature of an arc and a hot jet stream to be produced between polyphase, multi-electrodes directly in a low pressure atmospheric gas.
CONSTITUTION: When a multi-electrode tip is set up conically, an arc generating electrode device P (conical unit electrode) attaches a heat resisting material- make electrode support plate 15 to an upper cover 3 with two mounting bolts 19. And, it is connected to an interval between each of electrodes 13 of the unit electrode device from a polyphase power unit so as to differ with it in order, generating an arc between these electrodes 13 themselves, and simultaneously the arc and a hot jet stream 31 are jetted the outside from the multi- electrode tip part by part by dint of electromagnetic force to be generated. With this constitution, the arc and the hot jet stream are usable for a heat source at a process for high temperature processing of both conductive and nonconductive materials under a vacuum.
