Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A tetrahydrofuran derivative expressed by formula I [R<1> is H, alkyl or alkenyl; R<2> is alkenyl (which may be substituted by phenylalkoxy); R<3> is phenylalkoxyalkyl, provided that R<2> is not allyl when R<1> is H or ethyl] or formula II [R<4> is alkoxycarbonyl or formula VII (R<7> is alkyl); R<5> is alkoxycarbonyl; the formula = (R<4>)R<5> may be form a group expressed by formu la VIII; R<6> is phenylalkoxyalkyl]. EXAMPLE:5-Benzyloxymethyl-3-(1-methylallyl)tetrahydrofuran-2-thione or (R)-5- benzyloxymethyl-2-diethoxycarbonylmethylenetetrahydrofuran. USE:An anti-inflammatory, carcinostatic, antiviral, antimicrobial, antiulcer agents, etc. PREPARATION:A compound expressed by formula III is reacted with a com pound expressed by formula IV in the presence of a basic compound in an inert solvent to provide the aimed compound expressed expressed by formula I. Alternatively, a compound expressed by formula V is reacted with a com pound expressed by formula VI in the presence of a catalyst in an inert solvent to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula II.
