Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled clad spring material for conduction having the excellent spring property by joining Ni or a Ni alloy to one side or both sides of a precipitation hardened martensitic stainless steel plate with the specific composition. CONSTITUTION:The precipitation hardened martensitic stainless steel plate mainly composed of a composition consisting of, by weight, 14-16% Cr, 6-8% Ni, 0.2-1.2% Cu, 0.1-0.9% Ti, 1-3% Si and the balance Fe is subjected to solution treatment. Next, the Ni or Ni alloy 2 with conductivity >=about 18% IACS is subjected to cold rolling and welding with pressure and afterward, finish rolling and heat treatment for the precipitation hardening on one side or both sides of said steel plate 1 to form the clad spring material. Said Cu and Ti improve the heat resistance and Si improves the heat resistance and spring property. Then, the satisfactory property is not obtained under the lower limit of said composition range and moreover, the workability is deteriorated when exceeding the upper limit of the composition range.
