Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a solid electrolytic capacitor, in which powdery heat- resistant inorganic fillers are added into a fuse consisting of the alloy of lead- silver while the non-fusion cutting of the fuse is removed, by connecting the fuse being coated with an insulating elastic material and composed of the alloy of lead-silver between a cathode section and a cathode outer lead. CONSTITUTION:An anode lead 2 implanted to a capacitor element 1 and an anode outer lead 3 bent to a U shape are connected through welding. On the other hand, a cathode outer lead 4 bent to a U shape and a cathode layer in the element 1 are connected by a fuse 5 made up of the alloy of lead-silver, and the fuse 5 is coated with all insulating elastic material 6 such as a silicone resin, and insulated and sheathed by a sheathing resin 7 such as an epoxy resin. The solid electrolytic capacitor functions as a current fuse when currents of 2A or more flow, and serves as a temperature fuse by the heat generation of the capacitor element when currents of 2A or less flow thus preventing the burning of the element 1.
