Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity of a photoconductive film by incorporating a specified bisazo pigment. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body is formed, for example, by successively laminating on a conductive supporting body 1 a carrier generating layer 2 containing as a carrier generating material a bisazo pigment represented by formula I and a carrier transfer layer 3. In formula I, Cp is a group represented by formula II or III or the like; X is an atomic group necessary to condense with a benzene ring and form a hydrocarbon ring or heterocyclic aromatic ring; Y is -C(=O)-N-(R)2 or -C(=O)-O-R; and each of R1, R2, and R is H, lower alkyl or the like. The layer 2 can be formed by coating with a coating solution containing said pigment and a binder, such as polyvinyl butyral, or by the vapor deposition of said pigment or the like.
