Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the generation of waste drum cans contg. contaminated concrete by using the contaminated concrete as a packing material for the spacings between the drum cans in a storage pit. CONSTITUTION:The contaminated concrete is transported to a contaminated concrete hopper 3. The contaminated concrete in the hopper 3 falls by gravity and moves to a grinding machine 4 existing in the lower part when a valve in the lower part is opened. The contaminated concrete crushed into small pieces are stored in a storage hopper 5. This contaminated concrete as well as cement and water are mixed with each other in a kneading machine 6 and after the mixture is made into paste, the paste is poured into the pit 7 to fill the spacings between the drum cans 8. After the pit is filled with the drum cans and the contaminated concrete, a cap made of concrete is put on the upper part of the pit.
