Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject simply processable material capable of carrying out incineration treatment when out of use in high yield ratio at a low cost by suspending a thermoplastic resin and vegetable fibers in water, placing the resultant suspension in a mold, thermally retaining the material, then cooling the material to normal temperature and solidifying the cooled material. CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic adhesive formed into the shape of staple fibers or soft hairs (a pilelike form) and vegetable fibers are suspended in water and kept in a colloidal state. The resultant suspension is then placed in a mold in the form of a desired vessel made of wood or a metal, etc., or press molded with a male mold and a female mold made of the wood or metal, etc., to filter water. The formed material is heated at about 60 deg.C and converted into a damp- dried state and the resultant material is then heated and retained at about 110 deg.C for at least 20 min to form a paper and simultaneously remelt and thermally bond the mixed thermoplastic adhesive. The obtained material is cooled to normal temperature and solidified to afford the objective material.
