Abstract

PURPOSE: To recover an agent in high yield in an almost odorless state without breaking clathrated state, by mixing an agent having strong smell with cyclodextrin in the presence of water, dehydrating the obtained clathrate compound in vacuum, washing the product and again dehydrating in vacuum.
CONSTITUTION: An agent having strong smell (e.g. organophosphorus insecticide) is mixed with cyclodextrin in the presence of water to produce a cyclodextrin- clathrate compound of said agent. A liquid or pasty product containing the produced clathrate compound is dehydrated in vacuum to obtain a clathrate compound cake having a water-content of about 20W40%. The cake is thoroughly washed with water or alcohols and again dehydrated in vacuum to obtain a cake absolutely free from the agent of unclathrated state. If necessary, the cake is washed with a liquid containing perfumery and dehydrated again in vacuum.
