Abstract

PURPOSE:To minimize a circuit scale and to quickly execute both of a FFO (find first one) instruction and a FFZ (first find zero) instruction by inputting bus data to a bit position detecting part after logical inversion and only providing a FFO part to selectively execute the FFO instruction and the FFZ instruction. CONSTITUTION:At the time of executing the FFZ instruction, inputted data bits have the logic inverted from that for execution of the FFO instruction to perform the FFO operation, and the FFO part is only provided to selectively execute functions of both of FFO and FFZ instructions in this manner. In the FFO part, all data bits are divided to, for example, four blocks by eight bits. Thus, the circuit scale is minimized and both of the FFO instruction and the FFZ instruction are quickly executed.
