Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the traffic value of a system bus and to increase the arithmetic processing parts for improvement of the throughput, by using plural arithmetic parts, the dual port memories, a global memory, a system bus and a local bus. CONSTITUTION:The (n) pieces of arithmetic processing parts 1 and dual port memories 2 are used together with a global memory 6. A kernel text serves as a program which describes the working of an operating system. Each memory 2 stores the same kernal text and therefore each part 1 can give an access to the kernel text at a high speed via a local bus 5. The process texts and the information proper to processes are scattered into the memories 2 and the memory 6 and the parts 1 give accesses to those texts and information in an execution mode via the bus 5 and a system bus 3. The shared process information and the kernel information are stored in the memory 6. Then the parts 1 refer to and update these information at one time and the exclusive control is given to them by the synchronous operations. A system bus monitor circuit is used as necessary for reduction of the traffic value of the bus 3.
