- 透光性絶縁基板２０に表示電極、第１の絶縁層
、発光層、第２の絶縁層及び共通電極が順次積層
されてなるＥＬ表示素子本体２１を設けてなるＥ
Ｌ表示素子において、前記ＥＬ表示素子本体２１
の背面全体に亘つて絶縁性オイルが含浸されてな
る海綿体２２で覆い、さらにその後方に該海綿体
２２全体を覆うようにして熱収縮性フイルム２３
及び不透水性フイルム２５を貼付けられているこ
とを特徴とするＥＬ表示素子。
