Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the apparatus thinner, by fixing one end of two flat springs on a fixed frame while a motor and a rotating shaft are supported rotatably with a case of the motor at the end part thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A weight sensor apparatus 1 is provided with a motor 2 for driving and a rotating shaft 3 which is driven to rotate with the motor 2 and is displaceable in the direction of thrust receiving a load from the weight of an object to be measured. The motor 2 is fixed inside the case 4 with a motor shaft 5 projecting to transmit a rotating force to a rotating shaft 3 through a gear train 6 for deceleration inside the case 4. When an object 40 to be weighed is placed on a turntable 8, flat springs 12 and 13 are displaced to a position of balancing in cooperation. At this point, a self-inductance of the coil 20 varies with changes in relative position between the coil 20 and a core 21 to permit indirect measurement of the weight of the object being weighed. This eliminates the need for relative displacement in the direction of thrust simply by allowing rotary motion of a bearing part to make the apparatus thinner with a simplified construction.
