Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the working time with use of a feeding speed controller by calculating an optimum override distance for each corner part of each working block and controlling a working tool to a proper feeding speed at the corner part of each working block. CONSTITUTION:A feeding speed controller contains a tool path output means 10 which delivers the path schedule of a cutting tool, a condition output means 11 which delivers various conditions including the shapes of corner parts, etc., an override distance arithmetic means 12, a deceleration start point arithmetic means 13, a deceleration signal output means 14, etc. When the path schedule is produced in accordance with the working form of an object to be worked, the means 12 calculates the override distance of a corner part, i.e., the terminal point of a working block based on the output data on both means 10 and 11. Then the means 13 calculates a deceleration start point based on the distance of each working block and said override distance. This calculated start point is added to the path schedule for control of the feeding speed of a working tool.
