Abstract

PURPOSE:To simply and easily form sublimation pattern for producing a casting without needing facing agent and any crazing pattern on the surface by arranging wax layer on outer face of forming polystyrene-made sublimation pattern. CONSTITUTION:After dipping the foaming polystyrene-made lost foam pattern 1 into paraffin wax, etc., malted at about 80 deg.C, it is dried at room temp. The above paraffine wax, etc., is solidified on the outer surface of the sublimation pattern 1 to from the wax layer 4. By this method, the sublimation pattern 5 is obtd. without any crazing pattern on the surface. By using this lost foam pattern 5, the casing having good surface characteristic can be produced. Further, the above sublimation pattern 5 does not need the facing agent and therefore, it can be economically, simply and easily formed for a short time.
