Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the quality and yield of rolled products by embedding temp. control means adjusting a temp, distribution in the roll length direction in the inside of a rolling roll. CONSTITUTION:A sleeve 3 of a rolling roll 1 is fitted on the periphery of a core part 2 to form a concentric cylinder. Plural grooves 4, 5 are formed in the peripheral and length direction of the core 2; electric resistance heating bodies 6 and heat tubes 7 as a roll temp. control means are embedded in the grooves 4, 5. Further, the roll 1 is provided with sliding electrically conductive rings 10a, 10b, 10c and a cooling nozzle 14. Local temps. of the roll core part 2 and sleeve 3 are adjusted through roll temp. control means 6, 7 to control diametral variations in the roll body length direction. Hence, unevennesses in flatness of a rolled sheet and variations in sheet crown are improved, so that the quality and yield of rolled products are improved.
