Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a base isolation structure excellent in a vibration isolation performance by arranging a damper made of a viscoelastic substance in a hollow part formed in a laminated rubber body and filling a lower elastic substance than the damper between the damper and the inside wall of the hollow part.
CONSTITUTION: A hollow part is formed in a laminated rubber body 2 constituted of a plurality of rigid hard plates 11 and viscoelastic flexible plates 12 alternately bonded together. A damper 3 made of a viscoelastic substance is disposed in the hollow part, and a lower elastic substance 4 than the damper 3 is filled in between the damper 3 and the inside wall of the hollow part. Since a base isolation structure 1 formed in such a way has a vibration isolation effect and a damping effect, a degree of vibration transmitted to a building in an earthquake can be effectively decreased.
