Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the gap by providing a means varying a current continuously in a synchronizing circuit of a magnetic recorder having a charge pump circuit varying a control voltage so as to switch the mode thereby eliminating the effect of unmatching. CONSTITUTION:In the changeover from the FAST mode into the NORMAL mode, when a changeover switch 25 is turned off, the potential at a point (x) rises slowly by a time constant comprising a resistor 21 and a capacitor 23. Thus, the current of a constant current source 10 decreases slowly from 9mA to zero mA. That is, the DC current flowing to the filter via a changeover switch 13 decreases slowly from 10mA to 1mA. Similarly, the current of the constant current source 16 decreases slowly from 9mA to zero mA. The means varying the current continuously is a circuit comprising resistors 21, 22 and capacitors 23, 24. Thus, through the continuous changeover from the FAST to the NORMAL mode, the effect of unbalance is reduced and the data read/ write is started more quickly.
