Abstract
PURPOSE:To demagnetize the erase core of magnetic head, by producing the attenuated oscillation through the addition of the capacitive circuit element to a part of the recording circuit. CONSTITUTION:The capacitor C is inserted in parallel with the erase coil L and the internal resistance r of the coil, charges are stored in the capacitor with the DC power supply V immediately after the transistor Tr is switched off, and the operation after that is equivalent as the transient phenomenon at the discharge of the capacitor C when the switch is from ON to OFF. When the values of the erase coil L, capacitor C and the internal resistance r are set to suitable values, the current i flowing to the erase coil L is in attenuated oscillation. The erase core 2 is automatically demagnetized with the current i in attenuated oscillation.
